Wink ;)

Ms. A and I were eating when I decided to wink at her. She giggled and asked why I winked at her. My response: 'Because I love you!' another wink at her and then she decided to join in the fun. Each time she tried to wink, it came out as a blink. Finally after several attempts, she covered one of her eyes with her had and grinned.

Kristina's 25th Color Challenge

I've been following this AMAZING lady for some time. I love her creativity and personality. She's been posting Color Challenges for stampers. She reached her 25th challenge yesterday. CONGRATULATION'S Kristina.

Her challenge had perfect timing. I have a baby shower and a birthday coming up soon. I also wanted to try out an idea for our Christmas cards. Here are my interpretations:

Her color combination was Ballet Blue, Certainly Celery, Ruby Red and So Saffron. I fudged a little with the Christmas card. I used Green Galore. The stamps I used were Season of Joy (Christmas card), Cuddles and Tickles and A is for Adorable (Baby card) and Birthday Whimsy (B-day card).

Splish, Splash

There was finally a break in the lovely rain we've been enjoying, so we went for a walk. Of course with all the rain, we found puddles. And as any parent knows, puddles are very difficult for toddlers, children and even some adults to avoid.

Our little angel loves puddles!

She quickly ran and jumped exuberantly into the puddles along our walk. Her pant bottoms were soaked, but her delight was unlimited. I enjoyed watching Ms. A play in the puddles and hearing her laughter.
After her adventures in the water, we completed our walk. We were almost to our home when Ms. A's sad little voice stated: "I need to stop. There's something in my shoe!" When I asked her if it was hard or squishy, she replied, "Squishy!" Reed and I had to explain to her that the puddles that brought her such joy also were the culprit behind her squishy feet. Ms. A was not to happy about that consequence. As we continued home, we were slowed down by her constant tugs. When asked why she has slowed her pace, she replied: "I'm walking on my back toe." It took me a minute to figure out that her back toe was her heel. I told her the name of that body part and she quickly corrected her statement. When we arrived home, we had to show her the wet socks and pants and explain to her that they were the reason she was uncomfortable.
I guess we need to invest in a pair of galoshes for the winter time. :)

Thank You P

I needed to make a thank you card for a friend that has made my life a bit easier. I was trying to figure out a color combination when I checked out one of my favorite stamping blogs, KWerner. She had new color challenge up for the week. It was not my normal color combination, but I liked the way the card turned out.Ingredients: Kiwi Kiss Textured Cardstock, Chocolate Chip Cardstock, Very Vanilla Cardstock, SU Friendship Blooms, Pumpkin Pie Stamp Pad, VersaMark Stamp Pad, Love and Happiness Rub-on, Pumpkin Pie Stripped Ribbon, Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Coluzzle, and Paper Piercer.
