Update

We are safely home and unpacked. Sara took such great care of our home! Ms. A, Mr. P and Ms. E have been in heaven playing with one another. It's been such a joy to see them play together. Yesterday, I went to check on them and there were Ms. E and Ms. A in one corner of her room playing ponies and Mr. P was on the other side of the room playing with Ms. A's new toys. It was great seeing them together again.

I am so excited to see our friends and catch up on our lives. Last night Jen and Ms. E came over for a quick visit. Little Ms. E is no longer a baby! She's still adorable as ever. We had a great visit with Jen. It was fun to hear a bit about her family's vacation in Jerusalem.

We have been so happy to be home. When I opened the doors to the laundry, I jokingly told Reed that I heard angels sing! It was great to clean our clothes in 3 hours instead of 8 and I know that the clothes were CLEAN and NOT WRINKLED!

I was so tickled to turn on the internet and see things come up so quickly and consistently! Hurray!

The only difficultly I've had is sleeping. I'm not a morning person, so when I woke up at 7am I was so frustrated that I couldn't sleep any more. This is probably a good thing, time will tell. :)

Last night we asked Ms. E and Ms. A if they wanted to sleep in the same room, which they replied very excitedly, Yes! After a reading a story and giving kisses, I wished them a good night. This morning I went to check on our sleeping beauties and had a chuckle when I saw them both asleep with pillows cast aside. How can life get any better?

Cuddles and Kisses

One of Ms. A's favorite things to do is wake me up in the morning. As some of you may know, I am NOT a morning person. She is so adorable, it's hard not to enjoy her 'waking mommy' process. Thankfully, Reed has put a clock in her room and we have taught her to wait until 8am to come and get mom. She excitedly comes in the room and approaches my bed. If I'm up already, she tells me to go back to bed. Once I'm 'asleep' she taps my shoulder and asks if I'm awake and if we can cuddle. She gets in the bed and will cuddle for at least 30 seconds, sometime more, then she starts her other activities. Lately, it's been waking up my feet. (Ms. A loves feet, something I don't understand.) She will crawl under the covers and kiss the tops of my feet, hug them and then she crawls back up to me and either cuddles some more, talks incessantly or starts jumping on the bed, usually she jumps.

Yesterday, I was having some allergy problems so I took some medicine and took a nap. Unfortunately, the meds put me to sleep for three to four hours and Ms. A's nap is down to two hours or until 4pm. She went through her typical routine and when mom didn't respond she started to use more drastic techniques. She laid on my side and put her face right in mine and said "Mommy, wake up!" It's cute now, but I wasn't too happy. Thankfully mom finally got up and all was right.

What do YOU DO when it's naptime?

I went to check on Ms A while she was taking her nap to discover that she had crawled on top of the headboard of her bed.

When I asked what she was doing, she grinned and said "Yellow Duck and Blue Bear were cold. They need to talk." She had dressed her toys and was carrying on a conversation with them.

Her other favorite thing to do with the headboard is to stand on it and jump down on the bed. We are usually there to make sure she doesn't hurt herself. She loves to jump on the bed as well. I have to remind her that jumping on the bed is not safe. When it's time to say prayers, she inevitably will bounce a couple times on the bed before she folds her arms. I guess she wants to get the last bit of wiggles out before she goes to sleep.
