Ms. A and her new "Little Pony"

For those of you out there that don't know our little one very well, Ms A has a deep love for My Little Ponies. She has quite a collection. A couple of months ago, she lost her favorite Pegasus, StarSong. When Ms. A started Preschool, my mom sent her a package. (It was also because she has given all her other grandchildren a Build-A-Bear.) Ms A was tickled to receive a package and even more excited when she saw what was inside - a TALKING STARSONG! Her favorite part was when StarSong sang her version of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."

She giggled, laughed, hugged, "fed" StarSong and smiled for days. Thanks MOM!!

Sad Goodbyes

Ms A has a favorite toy, her Cinderella Polly Pocket. She takes her everywhere, including bath time. Yesterday, tragedy hit: Cinderella got broken and she couldn't be repaired. My little one was inconsolable for quite some time. I hugged her and whispered sweet, comforting words, but nothing could stop my tenderhearted, little one from crying. Suddenly, I had an idea to build a new home for Cinderella to live in and Ms A started to calm down. She lovingly added butterflies, flowers, hearts and glitter to Cinderella's home. She drew rainbows and hearts. She gave her tons of hugs and whispered loving words and kisses. We talked about how Jesus would take care of Cinderella and make her all better because that is what HE does because of HIS LOVE for us. Gently she laid Cinderella on the two hearts. We closed the box and said our final farewells. Goodbye Cinderella!
Thank you for being Ms A's special friend.

Christmas Through the Eyes of a Three Year Old

Ms. A is loving her new camera. She takes it everywhere and we she's done with the picture taking, she'll ask me to put it on our blog. Here are a few of my favorites that she took.

Ms. A's New Ball

We found this fun ball at the KL Tower.

Ms. A had a blast playing with it. She and Reed had fun chasing and kicking the ball all over this part of the Berjaya Times Square Mall.

Bath Time

Ms A has been having a difficult time taking baths here, usually she has a shower instead. The shower heads are detachable, so we can control the water a bit better. She hates to have her hair washed because the water gets in her eyes and ears.

The other day she decided her doll needed a bath, so she spit on her. I talked to her about how spitting is not nice. Today she came in to ask if we could give dolly a bath. We took her in and I had Ms A bathe her with a washcloth. It was so sweet watching her tenderly wash her doll. Afterwards, she told her dolly how brave she was and then told me that dolly was cold and to dry her off. Again she was so soft. When we were all done, she told the dolly that her 'itchies' were all gone.

What do YOU DO when it's naptime?

I went to check on Ms A while she was taking her nap to discover that she had crawled on top of the headboard of her bed.

When I asked what she was doing, she grinned and said "Yellow Duck and Blue Bear were cold. They need to talk." She had dressed her toys and was carrying on a conversation with them.

Her other favorite thing to do with the headboard is to stand on it and jump down on the bed. We are usually there to make sure she doesn't hurt herself. She loves to jump on the bed as well. I have to remind her that jumping on the bed is not safe. When it's time to say prayers, she inevitably will bounce a couple times on the bed before she folds her arms. I guess she wants to get the last bit of wiggles out before she goes to sleep.

Christmas is Here!

Santa put her new Ariel phone and glitter ball in Sweet Pea's stocking and left in on the sofa. When she came downstairs Christmas day, she saw the stocking and hung it back where it belonged without knowing there was something inside. It took some coaxing from mom and dad for her to discover the items inside.
She was so excited about her new Little Mermaid phone. When she pushed a button Ariel talked to her. It startled her so she hid behind mom until she got over her shyness of Ariel 'talking' to her.
Sweet Pea had a wonderful time playing with her Lincoln logs. We made houses for her Little Ponies and she was set, until we opened the next present.

Sweet Pea and dolly with her new stroller. She was so excited about her new stroller. She couldn't wait to put her doll in and push her all over the place. She would ask us to open the buckle repeatedly so she could readjust her doll whenever she moved. Sweet Pea would make sure her doll was safe and then off she would go. Sweet Pea also made sure her doll had a nice warm blanket to keep her warm.
The next day, Sweet Pea was holding her doll and said "One for the money, two for the show, four to go!" (She doesn't like the number 3) Then she would place the doll in the stroller. It was so fun to watch her repeat what we have done to her, but usually it was us throwing her into our bed.
It has been so fun watching her play mom with her doll and the stroller.

Christmas Eve

Pierce, Erin and Sara spent Christmas Eve at our place. The kids were so excited to opened their presents from one another. Pierce loved his Transformer. Erin had a wonderful time with her Sleeping Beauty Polly Pocket.

Ms A was waving her Tinkerbell wand all over the place. The wand can also change colors in the tub and change the water color. Ms A had a great time with her bath later that day! HURRAY!

Aunt Sara received the coolest popcorn popper. (It was hard not to buy one for us.) It is a bowl that pops popcorn in the microwave. She also received some popcorn flavoring. Now she can have the yummy taste of homemade popcorn with the ease of using the microwave.

Sara and the kids gave us an Ice Cream sandwich maker with a couple of cookie kits and fun snowflake place mats. The sandwich maker has three fun shapes. I've been looking at place mats and ice cream sandwich makers, but hadn't told anyone. Sara is so good at reading my mind. :)
I can't wait to try out the sandwich maker!
