Christmas Goodies

Sara and her children came over to make chocolates, cookies and other goodies for some of our friends. It was wonderful to continue that Kearsley tradition with the next generation. Of course, we recently added a Ping pong table to our family, {early Christmas present} so Reed was entertaining and teaching the kids how to play while the moms and grandma made most of the treats. They helped with the chocolates and sugar cookies. :)

Chocolates

Raspberry Almond bars {I had to sneak a taste - YUMMY!}.

Sara's chocolate fudge

Reed's favorite - Rice Krispie treat

Summer is Here

I went outside this evening to check on our raspberry bushes and was pleasantly surprised by these juicy, sweet and delicious beauties.

Summer has come to the Nelson backyard, now if only the weather can figure that out!

And yes, they were good and they are GONE. I did notice quite a few that will hopefully ripen in the next couple of weeks.

Raspberries and Cards

I LOVE our raspberry bushes. Somehow we lucked out with them and the bushes produce berries in June and August. I went out yesterday to check on the garden and discovered these {beauties}.

Ms A had to make sure she ate the biggest ones, after the picture taking was completed. :)

In other news, I needed a few cards for various reason and here they are.

The birthday card is for my dearest friend, Shanna who I've known since we were three. I miss her so much, especially our late night talks. She is also one day older to me. Ms A. was fascinated by the fact that I thought it was cool especially since her friend is one week older than her. Ms A. wishes her birthday was first though. :)

This is for Reed's parents. We had a few pictures to send and needed a card. ;)

A quick Thank you card {minus the sentiment}

A Pleasant Surprise

Ms. A and I went out to feed the birds in our backyard, when I saw these growing on a branch!

Yes, Raspberries!! They were huge and delicious. We ate the seven berries that we found.

I love our berry patch! :)
