A couple of weeks ago, I was stung by a wasp. Ms. A was very concerned about my well-being. She hasn't mentioned anything for a week, so I thought she had gotten over the trauma. Saturday, she and Reed were in the garage and I heard laughter. Reed came in and told me what Ms A had said.
"Daddy, I know how to scare bees. You just go Psss, psss and the bees will think you are going to pee on them and they will leave you alone."
Apparently it works for geese as well, we were chased by a rather aggressive goose yesterday. I informed Ms. A that we would be safe from the goose because we have longer legs and can walk faster. When we came back home from the library, she told me that going psss, pssss would scare the geese as well. :) Pictures from: Wasp Picture Geese Picture
Ms. A informed me that camera was getting a bit full, so I did a little spring cleaning. When I was finished, she said Wahoo and started taking pictures again!

We had a tradition growing up that every time we visited the family farm in Victor, we'd stop for Square Ice Cream Cones. The store has homemade ice cream which they scoop up with a square shaped scoop.
When Reed and I were planning a trip to Yellowstone, almost four years ago, I had built the experience up quite a bit. I was so DISAPPOINTED when we arrived after the store had closed for the day. Fast forward two more years with my sisters and their families. We wanted to introduce the in-laws and grandchildren, but arrived again after the store had closed again for the day. :( After the second failed attempt, I figured that the tradition was one that wouldn't be repeated.
After my grandfather's burial, it was decided to try again. Surprise of surprises, the store was open and under new management, but the homemade ice cream and square shaped scoops were still an integral part of the store/gas station. It was DELICIOUS and loved by the three generations that were there! :)

Ms. A and I were able to visit my mom for a couple of weeks. Thanks Honey!!! We had a wonderful time. Ms. A especially loved grandma's waterbed and exploring her home. She had a great time playing with all of the toys my sisters and I played with as children. I think her favorite thing to do was cuddle up with grandma on her bed as she read Ms. A stories. :)
We had a bit of a surprise one day, we woke up to SIX inches of wet, packable snow!!! After church Ms. A and Grandma V made a snowman and used the dandelions for eyes. Very cool!!
Ms. A was a little curious about the zipper and snaps on one of grandma's blankets, so I showed her what else the blanket could do. She was SO EXCITED with her little coat.
As a child, we used to make HUGE tents, something I still enjoy to do. I've told Ms. A about the tents we used to make, so she asked grandma if they could make one. After it was finished, she begged me to be able to take a nap in it. :) I let her lay down for a short time, before she had to go to her room for a real nap.
We also visited the Idaho Falls Temple. We made two attempts to take pictures, but the weather didn't cooperate, finally on the third time the rain went away. Ms. A loved posing for me. She's such a cutie!!
My grandfather passed away on Easter Sunday. It was a perfect reminder of the meaning of Easter - Christ's resurrection. I'll miss my grandpa, but I know he is reunited with those who have finished their time on earth. I'm so grateful for the knowledge that families are forever. I'll see you again!!!
Ms. A at four months
We had his Gravesite Services in Victor, Idaho. It was beautiful. Yes, there was snow in April. Aspen Grove is the family farm. My grandfather and dad were born here. I remember riding horses and playing in the home as a child. Great Memories. :)
