Ms. A's First Hair Creation

Ms. A received some pretty little barrettes for Christmas. She recently has discovered how to put them in her hair. :)

As I was getting her ready to church, she mentioned that she wanted to add some barrettes to her hair. I was thinking one, but she had a different idea. One for each color in her dress.
When I tried to put them in, she quickly stated that she wanted to put them in, then she ran into her bathroom with the barrettes.

She finally emerged with this little creation.

Our little one is growing up TOO FAST!!

Going to the Zoo

Sara and her children came to visit us for a portion of their Spring Break! It was wonderful having them here. Ms. A was SUPER EXCITED to play with Mr. P and Ms. E and loved her 'sleep over' with Ms. E. :) On Thursday, I started to get a little sick, but that didn't stop us from visiting the zoo. We loaded the kiddies up and drove to MAX for a ride to our fabulous zoo. :)

With it being Spring Break, the zoo was pretty packed even at 3:00pm. (a bit surprising to us, the zoo closes it's gates at 4pm.) We hit some of our favorites - Mr. P wanted the Orangutuans, but they weren't out. :( We visited the Polar Bears, which are always a favorite. The kids love checking out the others informational activities there as well.

They loved climbing in the den and seeing how tall they were.

We saw Samudra, the newest elephant, he has grown so much! I sat out for a short break and listened to a tiger growl while everyone else visited the Rainforest - crocodiles and the African Safari - giraffes, Ms. A's newest favorite!

It was a fun afternoon. :)

Thanks Sara! (for the pics and the fun)

Lizardsitting

While Sara and the kids are enjoying their visit to Washington, Ms. A and I are enjoying Hagrid, Mr. P's lizard. Ms. A a bit more than me. She loves to check on him and will watch him for several minutes. She excitedly asks if she can spray a little water in his home, he drinks the water off the leaves.

Tonight when I went to check on him I saw him doing this:

I was a bit surprised, so I called Sara to ask her about it. "He's just basking in the heat." she said.

What a great idea. I wish we had a little sun to bask in. :)

I Looked Out The Window

and what did I see? Sunshine! When I started typing, I heard something else, when I looked I saw pea sized hail falling!! It lasted for a couple of minutes, then the sun came out again.

Actually to be more correct the Sun was shining on the west side of our house while their were dark gray clouds to the east.

I LOVE SPRING WEATHER!! :)

Pixie Party

In anticipation of our little Angel turning FOUR, we are throwing a Pixie Party. Ms. A found this adorable stamp set full of fairies while we were shopping a few weeks ago. We picked out some green ribbon because "Tinkerbell wears green. "

Friday I sat down to make her invitations. Saturday we delivered them. Ms. A was tickled to hand the invite to her friend and then the conversation went something like this:

"I'm having a Fairy Party for my birthday. We are going to have LOTS and LOTS of games for boys and girls. It will be so FUN playing all the games."

I guess I need to find some fairy game ideas SOON.

Math Protege

Reed has been teaching Ms. A addition with some math Flash Cards she received for Christmas. He's great working with her and her flash cards! :)
They wanted to show me her knowledge last night. I love the way she counts by touching Reed's fingers. If you listen carefully, you can her her sweet quiet voice. She's been having a hard time learning about zero and what the total is when you add to it. We had to explain it a bit and then she GOT IT!

What a SMARTIE!!
