Then, I showed Reed this card and he laugh. Definitely hit the nail on the head.

Happy Valentine's Day
Ms A had her Kindergarten Valentine's Day Party today, so we spent Saturday making cards for her classmates. We had a fun time creating some cards.
Since I was making cards, I pulled out this picture (shortly after our engagement)
and made this for my sweet valentine.

Then, I showed Reed this card and he laugh. Definitely hit the nail on the head.

Birthdays
I had a couple more birthdays of friends and family. Enter my Silhouette. It was my friend's 50th birthday. She wanted a medieval birthday celebration and my dear friend, Rachel, was her party planner. We had a wonderful time and Rachel did an EXCELLENT job!

My sister, Shawna, had her birthday. She likes fantasy books and I have this adorable dragon that was begging to wish her birthday wishes. I hope you had a great birthday!

Isn't my dragon ADORABLE!?!?!

Butterflies, Rainbows and Turtles
Ms A and I love butterflies and rainbows. When I saw this on Silhouette's FaceBook Page, I had to try it out except in rainbow and as a wall hanging (Ms A gets nervous with things hanging above her). Instead of knots, I used sparkly beads tied to the embroidery floss with clear beads in-between the butterflies. Here's what I came up with.
Ms A was JUMPING ALL OVER HER ROOM when it went up, I guess it was a success. She also enjoyed the extra butterflies. (My Silhouette cut 120 and I used 48, Grandma V will be getting some soon.)
I also made this cute little *girl* Turtle for my busy five year old Primary class (7 boys and 1 girl) to hopefully remind them to be reverent. She's a bit shy and doesn't like noise. Ms A pleaded for one. I ended up making a smaller *boy* Turtle - Terrence - for my class and gave Crystal to Ms A after I drew eyes and eyelashes.

My New Toy
My **AMAZING** husband bought me a Silhouette for Christmas. He did a great job keeping it a secret, sent it to a friend and paid for it via work kudos. I've been having a fun time figuring it out, designing shapes, checking out blogs for ideas and cutting shapes. Ms KWerner had a great idea that I had to try, especially when I had three birthday cards to make for a sister and two sister-in-laws. Here are the fruits of her card idea. They remind me of the Ten Commandments.

Ms A started piano lessons with a wonderful friend of ours. She uses a galaxy motivational tool where the students have a spaceship and earn points toward planets they can add to their galaxy. We came home found a few pictures to color, but none of them worked for her - enter my Silhouette... I was giggling and patting myself on my back the rest of the evening. Ms A loved it so much she wanted one for piano and one to play with at home.

What We've Been Up To
We've had a busy month with fun activities with Aunt Sara and her children.
Did you know that Gingerbread Houses come assembled without the candy? We were pretty excited to try them out. In our home, the gingerbread houses do NOT last long. ;)
Sara's children came Christmas Eve. Ms A was ecstatic to see and play with them. They had a fun time opening their gifts and the parents enjoyed watching their excitement. Aunt Sara made Ms A an Oregon Ducks hat and matching pj's with her cousin. She was in HEAVEN!!
Sara took the kids to the park later with their stylin' Ducks hats!
