We tried it out tonight while Sweet Pea was taking a bath.

Valentine Mailboxes

Ms A and I went shopping the other day and found these mailboxes. She loves containers and I thought what a perfect idea for a Valentine gift. I saw some ideas on SplitCoast Stampers and I had to try it for myself.

I had so much fun making them I want to get some more!

Painting

After our exciting evening, we decided to let Sweet Pea play with one of her rewards. We found this steal of a deal at a local grocery store. It was a set of children's paints with 6 foam stamps, 2 roller sponges, 2 wide sponge brushes, 3 normal brushes and 6 containers of paints.

Sweet Pea had a blast. She kept asking for different colors or brushes. When I mentioned that we needed to get her some finger paints before we leave, she decided to paint her fingers! Sweet Pea had a marvelous time painting!

She Did It!

My BIG GIRL!

Ms A received a special package from Grandma Valerie. She was so excited to open it and discover what was inside. It was a package of big girl panties and candies for using the toilet. When we asked her if she wanted to wear the panties, she said yes. She proceeded to try on half of the panties. She was so proud of herself.

After an hour or so in panties, she asked if she could wear her diaper, but we decided to try using the potty ONE MORE TIME! Ms A  hasn't been too excited about trying and we have used all sorts of methods to motivate her.

She sat for a bit and tried to get off a couple times, but we finally heard the happy sound of her going potty. We were so thrilled. It was a HAPPY DAY in the Nelson home. :)

Leaving on a Jet Plane!

Reed is being transferred for work, so we are going as well. We will be leaving for Malaysia on January 27th for a six month stay. We are very excited! Now that the tickets are booked, the reality of moving to a foreign country is hitting us.

Sara and her family will be living in our home which works perfectly for both of us. It will be sad to leave our friends and family, but we are looking forward to our new friends and experiences.

It will be a wonderful experience and I found out the church has a branch just 10 to 15 minutes from where we will be living. So I know there will be something familiar to look forward to each week.

Giant Bowling Pin

We were running some errands when Sweet Pea suddenly asked me why the big truck had a bowling pin on it. It took me a minute to figure out that she was talking about the cement truck driving in front of us. Sweet Pea was so excited to see a bowling pin that BIG!! :)
